I loved the Salton Sea. It's hard to compare it to something. If I were to compare (in my eyes) it would have to be to a David Fincher or Darren Aronofsky film. It's not quite as artsy, but the mood is similar. Val Kilmer redeems himself in this, he really does. Vincent D'Onofrio is awesome, too.
I bought the DVD yesterday, and while the extras are a little short, I was overly impressed. It was good seeing the movie in such good quality.
At Circuit City, where I went, they had one copy left in the back, they were sold out! Pretty good demand for a indie film. Circuit City has it the cheapest at $15.99.
Call me a sucker, but it's one of my favorite films this year.
