I own this DVD and a
Toshiba 57HX81 57" HDTV and I saw ALL of the EE described here:

I was able to see this WITHOUT doing ANY zooming at all and I've calibrated the video settings with Video Essentials. I sit ~12' away from the TV and was able to see halos throughout the entire movie.
You should consider yourself to be very fortunate if you did not see any halos...
