GTA3 and GTA: VC are nothing like the original GTA 1 and 2. Well, somewhat like, but still extremely different...
GTA3 and GTA: VC are played from a third person perspective and the whole city is rendered in 3D, so you can basically walk anywhere or drive there.
If you like Driver, I would say without a shadow of a doubt you will like this game. GTA3 and GTA: VC are like Driver on massive steroids.
