BTW, movies have sequels and prequels, but all television shows are considered spin-offs. If TOS hadn't existed they wouldn't be able to do a prequel, so the show is a spin-off, no matter what time period it is set in. So there have been FIVE spinoffs, Animated, Next Gen, DS9, Voyage and Enterprise.
