I think the M's daughter idea is foolish. This is a Bond film, there's nothing beneath the surface, and M doesn't act any differently toward Bond at the end of the film. She's worried about where he is. It's fun to have theories about these kinds of things, but save those for more sophisticated works, where they might hold weight.
I hate it when people do it with the STAR WARS films even worse though. No, Elektra is not supposed to be M's daughter.
