My father wants to buy this model of Sony's brand of WEGA TVs:

It's a 36 incher priced at $2000, however he knows a salesman at his workplace and he's going to get it for him for $1500.

I'm a big fan of widescreen movies and I want to convince my dad that it isn't worth buying a 4 x 3 TV for that price. What other TV models, priced at a similar range (around $1500) and having 16 x 9 screens, can I suggest to him? I hope he doesn't get this TV and gets a widescreen instead.
