Generally the speaker wire provided is just the thing to use to tie up all that styrofoam packing material so you can haul it out to the trash. Now, I'm not suggesting $100/foot hand-braided uranium-coated ultra-ultra interconnects, but some nice 16 or 12 guage home depot wire is super cheap, and will make a difference, and you can cut it to any length. As for the digital cable, they likely won't include it unless the dvd player is also in the box, but you'd want to check the package as I could be wrong. You can use any old RCA cable if you need a coaxial cable. As the signal is binary, quality isn't an issue above a certain threshhold, and that threshhold is low. As long as you're not experiencing pops or dropouts the cable is satisfactory.
