First of all, is your Toshiba compatible with DVD-RW discs (not many players are)? Try authoring with DVD-R discs (which your Pioneer CAN use). DVD-R discs work in MOST players.
Secondly, you didn't mention what program you used to author the discs - this HELPS a little. Did you limit the MPEG2 data rate so that it conforms to dvd-spec? Is there a first-load movie for broader compatibility?
Thirdly, the video card you use (Radeon) has no bearing on DVD burning.
