Swimming with Sharks is not a movie to watch with your boss. Even if the movie had the most kickass LFE, sadistic torture fantasies against the boss are not something you should be watching with your boss.
3 Kings is a shoot em up film, but sooo much more. Warn all guests of the violence ("close up shooting of a woman in the head" might be all you need mention). Find a film that all agree isn't too violent. Again 12 Monkeys comes to mind (some violence, but not too bad). I assume you're all adults at this party, so 3 Kings shouldn't be too much of a problem. I've watched it w/ women of low gore tolerance, yet they were so involved in the story that the violence was effective, but didn't take them out of the film.
