Because Universal is making it hard on the consumer by making us pay for shipping (as if we had something to do with their mistake) and praying that they will send us the new discs, when they could claim that they never received it. If it is only a few minutes of misframing, then it hardly seems worth the effort, especially if you end up with no discs.
