Well i saw this 4 times at the movie theaters. I saw it once 3 days before the release (awesome) I thought the movie was just amazing and couldn't belive what they were able to do in it. 2nd time with my friend 2 weeks later i still liked it but it had lost some of its touch. 3rd time i saw it was when i treated my mom to the movie in Toronto. We were seeinga Blue Jays game sat night and decided to bring her to see Spider-Man. . . they also decided to put it on the IMAX Screen The bulb wasn't strong enough to get all the great detail like on the smaller screens but man it felt like you were swinging with him in all the scenes and again i started to love the film. 4th time was with my sister and i still like dit but again it was losing the magic of my first viewing.

Anyways overall i think the movie was great. The CGI and the Parade scene were a bit Power Rangerish but overall it was great. Tobey was a big surprise to play Peter and he did a great job playing the nerd and playing the superhero role as well. The casting for the movie was pretty uch all very well done and J.J. wasn't used enough in the movie. (hard to believe he plays the psychiatrist on Law & Order) He was just perfect. The costume for Green Goblin wasn't the best and looked kind of bad but from earlier screen shots trying to got the comic book style . . . it wasn't that bad.

But i think the strongest thing going for the movie was Sam Raimi and his directing. He is a weird guy but he has all these amazing shots in that head of his that are just amazing. The swinging in the city is cool to watch and his panning up, beside and down a crawling Peter Parker on a wall was seamless but gave that true feeling that he was Spider-Man. It was weird hearing him being casted as the director after Cameron left and i at the time didn't know who the hell Raimi was. One night i watched a small movie called Army of darkness and fell in love with it and found out who Raimi was. He was perfect for the type of movie. Plus he i believe helped along with the script of the movie and until i had read Cameron's drug addicted Parker and stripper girlfriend Mj taht i knew something good would come out of it. He did a fine job of fixing up the script and delivering a wonderful comic book movie.

Now it will be interesting to see what he does with The Amazing Spider-Man and if he will stay on for a 3rd movie as well.
