I was going through the other threads on this subject and did not see this (might have missed it though).....

What is involved in "hacking" a DVD player? Something about downloading software to a CD and then putting it in the player?

Also, what does it matter whether Macrovision can be turned off? I know that Macrovision is to protect against piracy (at least in the old VHS days), but what does it matter today?

At last, it seems the DVD727 is a good cheap choice, I am just wondering if it requires any other devices to play on my Sony KP-51HW40 TV....... does anyone know?
