Now for what I always do....ask questions!

Have you considered letting your center channel "come out of the closet" ? (Sorry, couldn't resist!). I would think it may improve your front stage if it was on the same plane as the FL & FR speakers. Just a thought...

The Sanus rack - does your Pioneer fit ok in that thing? I own a Pioneer too (VSX24-TX) and that puppy is deep. I've found few racks that allow for over 19" of depth (not counting DIY).

And finally, hows-about sharing with us the details on making your own signs?

(PS - you were right.....69's were used in the D.O.H. show - I guess your Dad gets to keep the bike! )
Center Channel... yes, I am aware that having the center "sunk" behind the mains is not optimal for at least a couple of reasons, but I personally just like the way it looks Truth be told, the sound in reality doesn't seem to suffer all that much.

Rack- yes the Pioneer fits with room to spare front and back. It is a nice rack for the price. Easily expandable, too.

Signs... I downloaded a set of bitmap images including various styles of Dolby Digital, DTS, THX, etc. I simply just resized them to 8 by 10 inches, and printed them on photo paper with just a regular old HP inkjet printer. I had to use the 1200 maximum DPI setting to make them look decent, though, so it used a LOT of ink. Considering that it used more than half my ink it was not a cost effective as I thought it would be. Anyway.... after printing they are just framed in an 8x10 frame, hung on the wall using mirror hangers.

I can send anyone who wants it the .zip file of bitmaps.

As far as the Dukes, both 68 and 69 were used in reality, so we were both correct one way or another. They mixed and matched parts so much that it can be hard to really tell anyway. Lot of 69's with 68 spare parts, etc.........

Thanks for the comments. The theater has been updated a bit since those pics were made.... still not complete, though. I am in the process of putting up some framed movie posters, and I am going to add retractable curtains to close up the "closet" so to speak when not in use. They will be remote controlled and tied into my X10 system.
