Javier Bardem - ¿the greatest actor of today?
Having just seen "Before night falls" and the brilliant "Los Lunes al sol", I'm convinced that the only 35 year old Javier Bardem already matured to the greatest actor of today.
There's no other actor, at least not in his generation, who possesses his raw screen-presence and is as effortlessly impressive. Add to that, he's not only a "character" actor of one character, but a chameleon. Absolutely different and believable in every new role, much like the former De Niro.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's going to get Oscar gold for portraing "Che" in the near future (should Terrence Malick finally go ahead)
Any more Bardem worshipers in la casa?
