I think you're mixing up 2 different companies. FYE has their website, http://www.fye.com, while Fry's Electronics' online store is http://www.outpost.com

There is an FYE store in Manhattan I go to, and a Coconuts in my locality on Long Island that I also patronize, regularly, and mostly because of their stellar used DVD section and pricematch to Best Buy policy.
As I told you the FYE has only SOME of the bargains you post here, but they do have a good music video section.
The Coconuts allegedly honors the FYE sales but ONLY, if you dont call ahead to save the item. My Coconuts does honor Best Buy weekly advertisements, and you have to have the original advertisement.
BOTH don't seem to have any connection to the FYE website, for ANY reference to what's allegedly on sale each week, or as a reference point to new merchandise. The in store prices just don't match. I guess they arent supposed to, right ? So WHY even go through the expense of maintaining one if it doesn't mean anything to the consumer ?
To me, all of this is very confusing for the consumer, to figure out, with all of their various corporate store labels and policies. They may be getting LOADS of tax breaks for the structure of their various holdings, but it's too confusing to be of an use to the consumer as a reference point to buy stuff and to know what's on sale.
The local Coconuts has it ALL over the FYE store, for me, and I'm a loyal customer, except for that one time I was decieved about the availability of a sale item at FYE that I wanted to pick up at Coconuts, it's the one for me ! I believe in supporting these small neighborhood Coconuts, just for the fact they dig into Best Buy sales.
