It's not that they'll be any more or less expensive. Matter of fact, as of now, I have absolutely
zero interest in a PSP. BUT - it
will introduce competition, and will absolutely, positively reduce prices across the board.
The prices for GBA games are outrageous. I could give a shit about development costs... blah blah blah. I don't buy for one minute that Nintendo hasn't reaped it's bounty off a silly Mario Kart Advance cartridge. Yet, it's still priced at $30. Fuck that noise. Shennanigans and bullshit.
When F-Zero is $20, and MK:A is $25
used, there's a problem.
It's
my fuckin' problem, 'cause I want the stupid cartridge. The only way I can get both the cartridge and a cheaper price is to pray for competition. You'll see some GBA games hit $10 within 6 months.
Where are the Players Choice games for the GBA? OHhhh, that's right, the Players can go fuck themselves - there's no competition! They can pay $30 for a game all day long, 'cause they're not gonna suddenly say, "Hey, the PSP is only $20 per game!" or "The nGage is BOGO!"
Nintendo has cornered the market, and is reaping the rewards of a successful monopoly. I don't blame them, but I'm not happy with the situation, either.
