Re: Chromy's Home Theater -- Take 3

Thank you all for the kind comments... if anyone is ever in the Seattle area...

The reasoning that went into that move was twofold... primarily to put the front speakers in an arc, so that they are equidistant to the primary seating location, and to give my subwoofers some room to wad themselves up into the right front corner.

RE: Comments on the equipment rack

I was thinking about putting this behind a cloth covered door, or a smoked glass door... but for right now, it gets warm enough back behind the 'wall' so until I get some ventilation back there, sticking out into the room it will remain! It is far enough to the side of the image that the lights are not too distracting.

RE: Speakers

Right now I'm using some smallish M&K speakers (the K7's that I was using downstairs in our last house) that seem to be able to hold their own in the new space. However, a bit more power handling would be preferable for the mains, so I hope to at some point in time to pick up another K7, and use the 4 of them for surround side, and surround back.

The center channel speaker is (vertical) above the screen, with the L&R speakers sitting at the same height but sitting in the left and right pop out columns.

RE: Screen shots/Pictures
I'm taking requests... what do you want to see?
