Is it an HDTV? The clarity of the DVD's looks so nice on the screen. My family just got a HDTV as well, and the only thing we can get to look nice is the actual HD channels.

It is a Hd-Ready 60' Lcd Sony Grand Wega KF610. It took me quite some time to calibrate the settings to my preference & once I got it to look as good as I could, I checked out some HD channels. They had Frequency on in full 1080i HD, I then put my dvd copy of the same film on & was shocked that there was very little difference between HD & DVD. I know some HD channels look better than others, but this channel was really hard to notice the difference from the actual dvd. PBS & few other regular HD programming still looks better though, but not by much. I'm not 100%, but I think my Sony has a built in line doubler or something, dunno.
