-Guardians of the Flame
-The Belgeriad
-The Rift War Saga
-Theives' World
-Illuminatus & Schroedinger's Cat
-Dragon...(et al.)_of Pern
-DragonLance Chronicles
-Just about anything by Howard Philips Lovecraft-That is, if it's actually well done, not more of those awful "B" movies like "The Unnamable". "Call of Cthulhu" could be made for less than $50 million and easily be a summer's biggest grossing action/horror picture.
For those not familiar with H.P. Lovecraft, he was the best at horror in the time after Edgar Allen Poe and before Stephen King. IMO of course

Sigh. Lots of really wonderful stories waiting for life on the big screen. Well, at least Lord of the Rings made it
