sycho, true HD is 1920x1280, something your CRT won't be capable of supporting (besides, a VGA connection would have a hard time transmitting that signal...DVI is a necessity). Besides, a DVD is still 720x480, no matter how much you scale it up.

Also, to get burn-in on a colour CRT you'd have to have a high-contrast image on that sceen for 7-10 years - and even then it would be incredibly faint...
