I'm getting confused. Sony keeps saying that the PS3 is not a gaming machine, but a home entertainment machine. But, without a hard drive, that eliminates any DVR functionality. So, what you're left with is a HD DVD player that plays games. How is that not a 'gaming machine'? Or am I missing something here?
