I also think Bale would be a good Bond (after seeing him as Bruce Wayne in the tuxedo, it is Bond I instantly thought of) but I realise this is as good as never going to happen...
...Roger Moore is the only English person ever to play Bond and by far the weakest (Connery Scottish, Brosnan Irish, Dalton Welsh & Lazenby Australian)
Unless you want to include David Niven's Casino Royale of course!
I personally liked Dalton in the role (no flames please as I know it's a contraversial choice) and I think Living Daylights was better than all of the Brosnan movies except Goldeneye.
Clive Owen would be fine too.
Other people I'd liked to have got the role would have been Derek Jameson, John McCrirrick, Trevor Macdonald and Steve Brookstein.
