But hey that's just my opinion....and dvdjedi, don't take this the wrong way man, but I don't think "mugging for the camera" is correct. Bond is to me: cool first, killer second, and cool third. Dalton never seemed 'cool' to me.

Roger Moore just never seemed to me to be someone who would/could kill someone at a moments notice. Moore's best film was
For Your Eyes Only, partly because it wasn't a typical Moore Bond film. Watch the doc on the DVD and Moore himself says that he played Bond more ruthlessly than he usually did. And that is part of the reason that it's my 2nd favorite Bond film.
When I think of the actors who've played Bond in the films, I think:
Connery - Dashing & Dangerous (Had the charisma to woo the women & the ruthlessness to kill any who got in his way. The most physical of the Bonds.)
Lazenby - People loved Connery in the role. Unfortunately for George, he came after Connery & was probably doomed from the start no matter how good/bad he did. I personally thought he was rather wooden in his performance but could have improved if given the chance.
Moore - Gadgets & Guffaws (He had some of the coolest toys & was king of the one-liners but wasn't very intimidating. He'd rather toss around a witty pun than an evil henchman.

)
Dalton - Closest to the Bond of Flemming's novels. Less charasmatic than Connery or Moore but definitely gave the impression that he'd use his Walther PPK at a moment's notice. As an avid reader of the novels, I liked his turn as Bond, although I thought the plots of his 2 films were rather weak.
Brosnan - I liked Pierce in his 4 films although (again) the plots of the last 3 were rather weak. Seemed to be a nice combo of Moore's wit & Connery's bravado.
I'm looking forward to
Casino Royale and will be there Day 1 (I've seen every Bond flick in the theater since I went as a child with my parents to see
The Spy Who Loved Me.)
