So it is the TV and not the player? Or if I got a better player would it look better. My old DVD player played region 2 discs, but since they were distorted, I imagine this is why there was no choppiness, because there was no actual conversion going on?

Is there anything I can get to solve this problem? Adaptor or something? Thanks.
