Most of the films represent an era, style, or subject matter--which is why they are given registry and preservation this way. From some of the silent films listed, to the film shorts (our gang) to the musicals, etc. What they are looking to do each year is add a wide variety of films. Honestly I am a little surprised to see Schindler's List and Unforgiven because they are more recent--(not that they aren't deserving).
But you can always write your local congressman and put in a good word for such film classics as Big Daddy, or maybe Sahara, or even Glitter!  |
