It will probably sell out and force the theater to turn away other potential viewers as well. So a theater could take a big hit with keeping a DLP in a big screen theater.

Good explanation. I saw Monster House in DLP and wondered why it was in a medium-sized theatre but didn't put much thought beyond the intial wondering. Now you answered it for me.
