I still like the show, it's very well done and the characters are good, but I'm getting a little frustrated with the mysteriousness of it all. I would be balling my captors out asking them 'what the hell is going on!?' We now know the others have a suburban paradise in the middle of an island with a smoke monster, and old Japanese experiments.
Speculation as to overall plot:
Personally, with Lock's legs(not to mention what we saw in the preview for next weeks ep), the black womans cancer dissapearing, and the talk in her episode about certain places having a healing effect(something to do with magnetism). I wonder if the others are maybe rich people trying to live forever or something, on an island where no one can die. Maybe the Darhma Initiative was an experiement to keep people busy there, where they could be monitored(see if they age?
). Maybe the people living there bought the Darhma company, and are doing their own
The Village thing.
