Speculation as to overall plot:
Personally, with Lock's legs(not to mention what we saw in the preview for next weeks ep), the black womans cancer dissapearing, and the talk in her episode about certain places having a healing effect(something to do with magnetism). I wonder if the others are maybe rich people trying to live forever or something, on an island where no one can die. Maybe the Darhma Initiative was an experiement to keep people busy there, where they could be monitored(see if they age?  ). Maybe the people living there bought the Darhma company, and are doing their own The Village thing. |
Don't forget Jack's father appearing on the island. We thought he might be a hallucination until we saw his empty casket.
Last nights episode was nothing special. Pretty early for a filler episode if you ask me and since the show is only running for a few episodes early on in the season, then taking a break and coming back next year make it even more of a surprise. I would have thought they'd be hitting it out of the park in every episode early on.
That's not to say it was a BAD episode, because it wasn't. Just, nothing special.
