I also enjoyed this 2nd episode more, but that's probably because I find the flashbacks with Jin and Sun to be more interesting than most of the other characters, except for Hurley, Locke, and Mr. Eko.
I like the present day scenes with Sawyer, Jack, and Kate, but I find their flashback scenes to be not as interesting.
Loved the flirting scenes between Sawyer and Kate, and loved the scene how Sawyer finally revealed his real name to Kate when Juliet said it.
One possible spoiler that I read on the TVGuide.com commentary on the shows, that I didn't know, or was it revealed and I wasn't paying attention, or does TVGuide have inside info that may be revealed later:
Spoiler (Highlight or Triple Click to Read):| The girl hiding in the bush that was whispering to Kate is Rousseau's daughter. I guess she's about that age where she could be. Did Rousseau have a baby that was kidnapped by the Others? It's been awhile, and my memory is a bit fuzzy on her story. |
And is it just me, or does it seem like the supernatural effects of the island have been kind of dropped out of the storyline and forgotten? You know, the polar bear, the fog creature that Mr. Eko saw, etc. Now that the Others are the main storyline, does it seem like this storyline has been forgotten because it's not as believable and interesting as the background of the Others?
