I know this is an old thread, but it can't hurt to ask... I'd like to get my parents a multiregion player for Christmas. It doesn't need to be top-end -- they have a fairly simple TV setup -- but what I do need is the following:

- multiregion out of the box
- simple process for resetting it if a DVD locks the player into one region or another

Any recommendations?
