I had the SD DTIVO, and it was nice. I saw why people liked it so much. Problem is, DTV parted ways with TIVO, much like the rest of the providers. Everyone has a DVR now, and none of them use TIVO. DTVs new HDDVR is ok, not as good as the TIVO that we all had. I also hear that Dish has a much better PQ with it's HD channels.If I wasn't locked into a two year contract ( I may be able to get out of it if they don't replace my HR20 soon
) then I would pop the cash for a Dish system. I have no problem with that, and I have had DirecTV for ever
