The Screen
The screen is a DaLite 2.5 Gain, Light Contrast, Glass Beaded screen.
It is approximately 45X80 when measured from the inside of the border.
The clarity is fantastic and the brightness gain is eye popping, but I am not totally happy with the screen. Due to the glass beads being an uneven surface there is just a teeny degradation of any image projected onto the screen. I seem to be the only one that notices it though.
DaLite has a 2.8 gain screen that does not use the glass-beaded technology that I am hoping to upgrade to within a year. However it is twice the cost of the glass screen... anyone in the market for a 45X80 piece of screen material ? Seriously, I am looking to sell
I even have samples of the material that I can send you.
It is very hard to get a good picture of it as the reflectivity of the screen always blasts back the flash of the camera, but I happened to get a cool pic of it...
The camera always manages to pic up the white wall between the edge of the border and the black curtain, even though this is not visible to the eye.
