Definitely agree with you there. The Hurley flashbacks are among my favorites to watch, and last night was fantastic. Somehow, it seemed right that Cheech Marin would play Hurley's father. Great bit of casting there.
Great scenes between Sawyer, Jin, Charlie, & Hurley when they were around the VW van. Nice to see Jin finally attempting to speak English, especially when Sawyer was teaching him the 3 phrases that all men need to tell women.
The ending was predictable, though, once I realized that I saw Mira Furlan's name in the credits but hadn't seen her in the whole episode, so I knew Kate was looking for Rosseau. We already knew that Alex was Rosseau's child, but I don't think that fact was ever revealed on the show. I ran across that info when reading articles about the show. Judging from Rosseau's reaction, it makes it more obvious that Ben is Alex's adopted stepfather, rather than Ben and Rosseau having a child together, which never quite seemed right.
Once again, fantastic episode. And the ratings from last week indicated a slight uptick in audience, drawing 12.95 million viewers, in comparison to 12.8 million the week before. I'm glad the show is back from the hiatus because it still is one of the best shows on TV.
