I was thinking about this last night and I think I might skip the 1K Pioneer (even though it is very pretty) and go with either this Panasonic or the $600 Sony. Even BD’s lead, there’s no guarantee that it’s going to win. I think it makes more sense to split the 1K between one of the aforementioned BD players and the XA2. Unless, however, I read that the Pioneer is tremendously better than these players and merits the extra $400.
