Photos of gear

I'll try to get some photos as soon as I can figure out how to post them here, as I am new to this site. Also, my digital camera is a vintage model too, 10 yrs old, ha ha, and is not the best at indoor shots, but will try.

If you must see the CED player right away, you can check out this website, cedmagic.com , and go to the HOME page, and then choose CED Player Reference Guide, and you'll see photos of every player made by any manufacturer. Plus if you browse the website, you will get all info you need to understand this video system.

Regarding the LD players, I have had the best Sony and Pioneer Elite players and I found the Panasonic to be most durable and give the best video image. Laserdisc video images, in my opinion of course, are as good as standard DVDs when enhanced to 480p with my DVDO Ultra. Actually I like them better as the image has a more film-like appearance, esp during fast-motion sequences. The DVDs sometimes appear "jerky" during these sequences. Plus LDs have no skips, freezes or digital anomolies, and have excellent sound. I have played LDs that look like they were used as frisbees without problem.

Two good LD websites are laserdiscarchive.co.uk and lddb.com
