I think right now, the Panny is still the one to go with because it's a more complete player and decodes and plays back all the next gen audio tracks, well, except DTS-HD MA. The 2nd gen sammys and sonys don't do that.
I was going to go with the panny, but I just don't like the look of the player. So my plan now is to hold off until the Sammy 1400 comes out in sept. It would also be a bonus if the 1400 was eligible for the 5 free movies, that is, if it streets in time.
I'm also getting a 60gb PS3 in the next week or so, but I think I'll just use that for gaming.
