Ok, pictures today. I ran into some problems with my internet (did not get it installed until a week and a half ago) and then got really busy with school. But its the weekend and time for some pictures!

A lot has been done. The apartment/studio is pretty much complete.

Here is around day 1. Everything was kind of thrown in the room and I had to start somewhere.

Installed the blackout drapes/blinds. These work surprisingly well and weren't that expensive. Well worth the money for watching movies in the day time. I also keep these down all the time because....I like it dark, hehe.

Shot of the kitchen. I know it's not a big part of the HT, but considering I only have 1 room, it must be shown! Great for making popcorn and grabbing drinks.

I do not have any shots of actually putting the screen up but I can explain what we did. We mounted a piece of particle board to the studs in the wall and then mounted the screen to the particle board. What a pain in the ass making sure everything was level. Thought I was going crack after I dropped the level 7 or 8 times. Finally got it though. The screen is also Grey but the flash of the camera makes it look white.

This is a shot of the new media rack. The other side is full of CDs. I have added a couple more HD DVDs to this and some are missing (Heroes) but I think i'm going to need a bigger rack by the end of the year, hehe.

Here is a picture of one of the front speakers and the banana plugs I used for them.

I set up the rest of the front speakers and center channel (along with the sub) and my bed. This is the best set up I can think of for the room. The bed fits perfectly and I can move it in less than a minute if I need to (i.e. guests are over). It also can double as a seat or a couch for people wanting to watch movies.

Here is a picture of the component rack. Not everything is on it and it is more organized (still could do better with wire management).

Theater seats, hehe. These are very comfortable and I can almost fall asleep while watching. You can also see the completed component rack.

Here is a close up of the completed component rack. I added a Belkin PureAV UPS/Power Conditioner. Works quite while since the power sucks here. It's also very heavy so I had to put a bunch of books and a big block of foam to cushion the weight of the shelf that it is on.

Here is a shot of the room from the kitchen.

Shot of my desk. You can also see the wire runner that goes from one of the chairs to the desk. I use that to run my HDMI-DVI cord (computer to projector), ethernet cord (to the HD DVD player and router) and my optical cable to my macbook. Love watching HD trailers and HD podcasts on the projector. Gives me hours more of content to watch when i'm feeling the HD blues.

Here is an action shot of Batman Begins. It isn't a great shot but I haven't really got the hang of taking screen shots.

That is about it for now. I do have some Senheisser HD-555 headphones that I use for late night HT viewing, which I love. I've watched about 7 hours of heroes with no ear fatigue or headphone fatigue.

Other than that I love coming back from class and being able to watch something larger then life on the screen. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask!

Sam
