Well I've read through some of these replies and thought that this feature might need a little background for people who haven't read it. Now this could probably be treated like any other book (comic or otherwise) to screen translation. There where some definite liberties taken (Lex Luthor being alive is one).

Now in the comic series before Doomsday gets to Metropolis Supes does try to divert him and keep him away from the city for the collateral damage complaint (its a cartoon no one ACTUALLY got hurt) but when Doomsday did finally get to the city, yeah there was way more damage done. The reasons why Doomsdays hatred is so focused on Superman well thats a different story that I won't spoil here but SM knew if it was him he wanted and it had to be in the city then it had to end there. Trust me in the books he didn't want the fight to go down there but you can blame that on a wrestling commercial (in the books). I haven't seen this yet but I've read how Doomsday is "uncovered" which ruins alot of his mystery, he comes out of his ship swinging, and theres no fight with him and the Justice League (the loose terribly by the way all you JL fans HA!). In that way they should have stuck to the books.

They could have taken that whole Lexs (whose not alive in the comics at this point) team uncovers this ship and sets him loose and stuck to the comics intro and Doomsdays trip to metropolis. Would have been much better. Oh Well I guess I'll have to find someone who has this and borrow it from them.
