If your problem was indeed Live related, this may have cleared it up.  I guess try that if it happens again.

Unfortunately too late now, but if I run into the same issues, I'll try that. I did try disconnecting the WiFi adaptor but I didn't try loggin in with it disconnected.. Ooops.
btw, when I re-bought the game I noticed the Guitar has Gibson written on the neck. I thought that was odd as my older one has nothing written on it. Is yours a Gibson?
