Amplification, as in
going to 11? Seriously, if my HT was much louder, my friends would stop coming over.
I've heard "high-end" amps in demo theatres, and while I do hear a difference, I've never found it to be a $1000 difference--with DVDs at least. I know music is much more demanding.
