It's not the masses I'm concerned about, it's the signal the success of the Wii is sending Microsoft and Sony.
After owning a Wii for a while now I've come to the same conclusion as Moogle and billnye, and I would hate for the gaming industry as a whole to follow the path Nintendo is forging with the Wii.
Innovation is one thing, innovation at the expense of gameplay and immersion is another entirely.
