It being a USB drive, Vista has the drivers for it. I tried it with my laptop ( couple year old Gateway...A64 4000+, 1G DDR, Mobility Radion X600 ) It recognixed and loaded the drivers but wouldn't play the HD dicsc

I am about to send my laptop back for a 4th time to get the LCD fixed, so I am going to try and get them to replace it under the no lemon policy...get me a new Toshiba with the HD DVD drive
You just need a software playback solution for HD DVD. Both Power DVD and WinDVD have HD DVD/Blu Ray playback features, but one, or both have two different versons for the two formats. It's like having to have two players all over again
