Congrats on the entry into HD, Monro! I think you'll enjoy the experience, especially if you have an hdmi receiver that can take advantage of the new audio codecs available on blu-ray and hd-dvd. You really notice the difference in upgrade from old dvd to high def in the audio department if you have the right equipment. As far as picture quality, I have to say that s-dvd looks blurry and not as crisp. I remember I used to think that LOTR was reference quality, but now it looks less than perfect when compared to an HD title. I've fully embraced movies on HD now.
