Therefore, thanks much to Best Buy this week for their sale certian Blu-ray movies for $19.99 a pop. Thanks to a coupon (
http://dvd.disneyemailcenter.com/fu...&uid=962c3e3bf6) I was able to get that price down to $14.99 a pop. Further, the
Ratatouille standard DVD came with a $10 mail-in rebate for upgrading to the Blu-ray, which makes the upgrade
$4.99. I love the movie, and that price is cheaper than I've ever paid for anything on standard DVD either, so I went ahead and bought it. The upgrade was completely painless. I also bought
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which I hadn't gotten yet on standard definition, so it is completely new to my collection.
So those two titles share the distinction of being my first Blu-ray Discs. Good choices, I think.
By the way, the coupon I linked to up there is a printable thing for $5 off any Disney Blu-ray title, expires on Valentine's Day 2008, so if you want anything, use it and use it again. The only limitation is one coupon per title purchased, but I had no problems at all using two coupons in the same transaction (one each for both movies.)
