yeah, sorry.
it apears that someone had inadvetantly upped the volume on the tv, so after I lowered it to zero the popping on changing the channels discontinued.
So, i guess it was a simple fix.
One neat thing I found out yesterday was on the DirecTv HD DVR's, as they are introducing the new HD channels, you are getting a doubling up in the guide listing, which was frustrating as hell as you are changing channels to have to go through the same crap 2x.
In the menu and settings, you can select to "HIDE the SD" channels in the guide, alleviating the need to double up and only viewing HD.
