Could one button on the remote really do that to me or do you think there is still some concern over the player.
If your TV is a really old one that does not accept 720p, there is a button on the HD-A1 remote that switches between 720p/1080i. There is also one that switches between component and HDMI output IIRC. Both of these buttons were taken off the HD-A2/A3 remote AFAIK.
