It only hides the SD channels where there is an HD counterpart, all the other SD channels remain.

So, its not that many- USA, TBS, TNT, FX (all in the 240-250 range) now only has the HD channel playing instead of having to go through 2 channels when I was changing channels up and down.

It hides both the local and the satellite SD's
