What I do is wait for my wife to go out of town on business, and then I stack up a pile of movies I haven't watched. Hopefully, by the time she gets back, I'm nearing the end of them. I'll also sometimes go through series, such as all the Star Wars movies in one sitting, or all the Matrix films, or all the extended LotR movies. That last one damn near killed me.
