I actually am really disappointed with this version of Assault. The contestants start closer to the gladiator, so they're easier for the gladiator to hit right off the bat. At the second station contestants have to waste time turning the massive station around and then loading the gun. This takes too much time. Contestants never had to load anything on the old game. The third station is a sand box with an arrow that you load into the gun on fourth station. You cannot get a shot at the target from the third station!!
This all adds up to it being way too easy for the gladiator to peg the contestant, and way too difficult and time consuming to get shots at the target. The awesome payoff of yanking the gladiator is rarely seen. So far only two contestants have reached station three, and both were tagged heading to station four. Only one contestant has hit the target.
I get really pissed each time Assault comes up. It was my favorite event on the old show.
GloWorm looks at me funny when I yell at the TV, "They destroyed Assualt!!"
