Depends how patient you are. If Blu-ray really has defeated HD DVD then it is likely you will see the HD DVD movies on Blu-ray within 1-2 years. But, if you don't want to wait the Toshiba HD-A3 is a fantastic player and upconverter, especially now that you can get it for $100 at Circuit City.
